Required Knowledge

For upgrading in the Martial Arts Discipline of Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Kobukan Karate

Each student is required to know certain terms and aspects of the history of our style. The further up you go, the more you are required to know. All requirements can’t be listed here, but the requirements to upgrade the first couple of steps are probably the most difficult, and most are listed on this sheet. Each student, regardless of rank, is required to know what is listed on this sheet. If there is a problem in pronunciation of any of the words or phrases contact Sensei or an instructor at any time.
